Panko Coated Sardines - YUM!
Who knew? This experiment was
very tasty and a real treat.

What you need:
I tin of Sardines.. we used a tin of Porthos Sardines in Brine
1 Beaten Egg
1/4 Cup of Seasoned Flour (Salt, Pepper, Paprika)
1/4 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
Some sunflower oil for Shallow Frying

1/4 Cup of Seasoned Flour (Salt, Pepper, Paprika)
1/4 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
Some sunflower oil for Shallow Frying

Pop open your tin of sardines and drain all the brine/oil.
Now CAREFULLY remove the sardines and
gently coat them in the seasoned flour.
Lift them one at a time into the beaten
egg and then roll them in the panic breadcrumbs.

Shallow fry until golden on both sides.

Remove the sardines to a paper
towel & season with salt before serving.

Serve with a flavoured mayo…
you can go Lemony like I did with Mayo,
Fresh Lemon Juice, Spring Onions
& Salt & Pepper or go Spicy
with some Mayo, Chilli & Garlic.
